BOIL ADVISORY - PRECAUTIONARY

Due to a water main break the New Lexington Water Department is advising All New Lexington Water Customers that until further notice, vigorously boil, for at least one minute, any water used for drinking (including water used to make ice), cooking or oral hygiene."
The New Lexington water system has no evidence at this time that the water system is contaminated. The possibility does exist however that the water system is contaminated and is issuing this advisory as a precaution.
The water department is making repairs and collecting additional samples and hopes to have this problem corrected soon. An additional notice will be given when the boil advisory is lifted. For further information contact the Village of New Lexington at (740) 342-1633.
Some customers may experience low pressure or no pressure. Repairs have been made at this time and pressure should be restored shortly.
Part-time Patrolman/Property Maintenance Officer
The Village of New Lexington Police Department is currently accepting applications for a Part-time Patrolman/Property Maintenance Officer. Applications can be obtained at the Municipal Building, 215 S. Main St., New Lexington OH 43764. Applicants must be 21 years of age or older, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, Ohio Peace Officers Certification, and a valid driver’s license. PUBLIC NOTIFICATION OF INTENT TO FILE AN APPLICATION
The Village of New Lexington hereby gives notice of its intent to file an application for financial assistance with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Rural Development for construction of sewer treatment facilities. This notice is published in accordance with Rural Development regulations contained in RUS Instruction 1780.19(a). The proposed project involves the construction and improvements of the Wastewater Treatment Plant to serve the Village.
